Maki Studio, founded in 2017 by Tuğgen Kukul and Hasan Yaren, is an architectural practice based in the historically and naturally rich city of Muğla. Tuğgen Kukul

MSc. Architect-ITU

graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a degree in architecture and earned her Master of Science degree at the same institution. During her master’s studies, she moved to Austria to study at TU Wien, where she continued her thesis project and deepened her expertise in design computing and the integration of physical and digital spaces in architecture. Throughout her education, she participated in various workshops and competitions, achieving recognition with awards and publications both nationally and internationally. Following her return to Istanbul, she worked at several well-established architectural firms, engaging in numerous design competitions and contributing to a variety of projects as a senior design architect. Since 2017, she has been continuing her professional practice as a creative partner and co-founder at Maki Studio.

Hasan Yaren

Architect-MSGSU

graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University with a degree in architecture. During his studies, he moved to Germany to study at Universität Stuttgart, where he deepened his expertise in residential, commercial, hospitality, industrial and multipurpose building designs and visualizations. After his graduation, he worked at several well-established firms specialized in architectural design and construction. In between 2013-2016, he was a partner in FAAR, a company based in Istanbul, where he also took on the roles as a senior design architect and visualization specialist. Since 2017, he has been continuing his professional practice as a creative partner and co-founder at Maki Studio.
