DESIGN
Nestled within Watermill Boutique Hotel, the design of the main restaurant is a thoughtful integration of history and nature, seamlessly blending old-world charm with contemporary functionality. The restaurant unfolds as an extension of a historic watermill house, where architectural elements from the past are carefully preserved and interwoven with modern design principles.
At the heart of the design is the meticulous restoration of the aqueduct situated at the upper level. This not only serves a functional purpose but also acts as a visual focal point, creating a captivating view and courtyard for the restaurant. The landscape surrounding the aqueduct is preserved in its natural state, further enhancing the immersive and organic ambiance.
Upon entering the restaurant, guests are welcomed into a lounge area that serves as a threshold to the historical aqueduct and the enchanting courtyard beyond. The aqueduct becomes an architectural spectacle, seamlessly blending the outdoor and indoor spaces, providing a unique dining experience.
The service area, strategically positioned to establish a connection with the kitchen on the lower level, stands as a distinctive structure with high ceilings adorned with arches and vaults. This space transforms into an elevated dining area, adding a layer of sophistication to the dining experience. Here, patrons are treated to not just a meal but an immersive architectural environment that heightens the senses.
The main dining area offers three stunning views through expansive openings. These carefully crafted openings not only frame the natural surroundings but also flood the space with natural light, creating an inviting and dynamic atmosphere.
The design ethos of the restaurant is characterized by its commitment to preserving historical elements while seamlessly blending them with contemporary aesthetics. This harmonious fusion of past and present creates a unique narrative woven into the fabric of Watermill Boutique Hotel, where architecture, nature, and history converge in perfect balance.
